Fitness Fo Realz

Hello darlings,

I’m back 👀 So weight has always been such an issue for me. Best believe that according to the BMI system, I am not overweight. But with my body being the top heavy type, it doesn’t seem that way. Due to personal events recently I felt like I had just the right motivation to finally kick off my weight loss routine.
I took myself down to Holland & Barrett and decided to really change the way I eat. I bought the Maxitone Sports Nutrition Starter Kit and Maxitone Sculptress Weight Loss Protein Shake/Meal Replacement

image

From now on my diet consists of meat, eggs, fish and veggies and I avoid carbs as much as possible. I have also started to work out an hour a day. I make sure I do my fair share of cardiovascular exercise and weights training. Post workout, I down a protein shake or my weight loss meal replacement which I find easier because I normally struggle to make a healthy dinner due to my hectic daily schedule. I will post again about my fitness once I begin to reach my goals or if anything in my routine has changed. Until then, take care.

Nature Photography

Helluuuuuuu darlings!

If you didn’t know already, I LOVE photography. Maybe I got it from my Dad who knows (he used to be photographer working in Metro, London). Either way I love the way each photograph tells a different story and captivates art in the rawest form. Last week I had to run errands and captured physical beauty on the way. I was quite pleased with the outcome so I thought I’d share with you guys the results!

Christmas & Boxing Day Mini Haul

Hello my darlings!

I hope you all had a good Christmas and had a blast during the Boxing Day sales. I figured I’d share with you the best things I got and bought – so grab the bargains whilst you can!

image

Acrylic makeup organisers. Oh how bloody useful are they! I normally store my makeup in a drawer in my chest, separating makeup pieces using trays. However in the mornings, when I’m in a rush, it can get a tad exhausting trying to find what I’m looking for, so this lil thang has been a huge help. I put my most used bits in there next to my mirror on my desk. They’re from Tiger and are roughly £3 which is a bloody bargain!

image

If you know me, I LOVE writing. Drawing, writing, everything, the whole lot. So these notebooks I got were an absolute dream. Just look how cute the covers are. The oriental sewn one is amazing as I looooooove oriental things and culture and the Paris inspired notebook on the left with gold rimmed pages is a beaut because I love France so much. I love French too and can speak it a bit (yes, I will learn more).

Now this is just too good of a bargain to miss. You, yes you. HEAD TO BOOTS RIGHT NOW! £19.99 for this Lancôme bundle. Yep. That’s right. £19.99. Worth about £67.

In it you get 5 mini but plentiful items: the Hypnôse eyeshadow palette with a good set of neutrals to wear during the day or night, a 30ml bottle of the Bi-Facil cleanser, the Lip Lover lip gloss,  Le Crayon Khôl black pencil eyeliner and the notorious Hypnôse mascara.

It’s a good way to try a few Lancôme bits out and I can’t wait to use them.

Next up, atlas! My first pair of Nike sneaks: the bog standard Air Max’s. Here’s the start to a fine collection. 😆

image

Here’s also a cute American Apparel purchase to go with my navy velvet American Apparel bodycon mini dress with a low scoop back. It just reminds me of the 90’s and who doesn’t love the 90’s?! #HashtagProud90sBaby

Excuse the no makeup face but by far one of my fave purchases, ZARA’S CAMEL COAT. I’ve been looking for a lovely well-structured camel coat for ages and I believe I have found the one. In my opinion, I think that Zara does the best camel coats and this was practically the last one in store. Super happy with this number and it makes SUCH a good transitioning piece, especially when it gets a bit nippy in the British spring season.

That’s about it folks. I didn’t include everything I got/ bought and I in no way mean to brag in this post. The next post you’ll be getting from me is in the new year and let’s just say, I got a super exciting announcement to make so stay tuned! I hope you all have a fabulous new year.

Stay safe and take care,
Imogen xxx

Why hallo thurrrrr, ma big booty bitchezzzz.

It’s a quick one today, folks. The Christmas spirit has atlas arrived! I thought I’d share with you my fave hand look going on at the moment. I am currently digging bohemian style – especially jewellery! Not to mention nail polish. I loooove a good mani and my favourite colour is green. So yep, it’s a deep forest green look for me this week. And would ya look at that?! My ring matches my nails. I’m sensing a sweet matrimony right here.

November Favourites ● 2014

Hello darlings!

I thought I’d kick start December with a lil sumptin’ sumptin’ – my fave thaaangs throughout the Autumnal month of Nomvember.

First up is Lush: my holy grail skin and hair store. I picked up a few bits and bobs to treat myself this month. First up we have the Sakura bath bomb which is your bog standard bath time necessity. It has a floral smell and has my favourite oil (jasmine). Next we have a bubble bar called Blue Skies And Fluffy White Clouds. This bubble bar is an utter dream! The bubble payoff is an absolute dream – especially when I turned on my jacuzzi jets on. Bloody hell, I could’ve sworn I was reliving my childhood bath time memories. Talking of jacuzzi, can I just say that I highly recommend jacuzzi bathtubs. The jets help relieve muscle aches and pains and soothes the back wonderfully (you’re welcome).
Next up, we have my favourite bath bomb as of yet – Shoot For The Stars. If you love night time, the night sky, the moon and the stars as much as I do you’re gonna love this one. It practically recreates the night sky in your own bathtub as the water turns deep blue and minute, fine silver sparkly glitter appears to recreate the stars. The glitter also is easy to take off the skin which was a relief.

I also managed to grab my hands on one of my all time favourite soaps. India sells this brand much more cheaper than in the UK so I always ensure I grab a heck of a lot of it when I’m over there. Nonetheless they are ready to purchase online @ Yardley London. They do a variety of soaps, creams, shower gels, talcum powder and more. The reason why I love this brand is because of how long lasting their scents are. The scent in their soaps actually linger on your skin for the whole day and it just feels and smells so gorgeous and makes my skin super soft!

image

Next, I picked up Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Spice which a gorgeous staple nude pink lipliner that every gal needs! I’d say it’s a good daily makeup necessity.

image

My mother kindly brought back these goodies from a carboot sale. We tends to go together but this time I couldn’t go. We always end up finding vintage goods – especially vintage ornate mirrors as seen below. I can’t tell you how stoked I am over it, and would you look at that gorgeous statement necklace?! I bought my cacti from Ikea too (named Penelope, Beatrice and Gertrude ;]) to add some earthiness into my room as I love plants and gardening.

image

Next up, the notorious Parisian style fluffy heels that are in trend right now. These bad boys are from Missguided. I’ve always been self conscious of my feet as they weren’t really born perfect (my little toes don’t touch the floor etc etc.. I’m going to undergo corrective surgery in the future as my feet can hurt in some shoes) and so I never buy open toe shoes or sandals. However the fluffiness of these shoes hid my toes so well I couldn’t resist. And so far, they’re looking bloody fantastic and aren’t too bad to walk in!

image

And wahey! We have the first pictures of myself on my blog. Another favourite is Kate Moss’ Lipstick in Shade 01 which is your perfect red lipstick. Darker lipsticks tend to make teeth look whiter which is always a bonus. (Midi ring is from Shop Dixi and necklace is a vintage jem I stole from my mama, originally from M&S)

Now I got some food faves. WAGAMAMAS. oh. my. gosh. This Japanese delicacy was amazing. I am currently pescetarian and so I had the vegetarian version of the Chicken Katsu Curry. It was so filling and refreshing being paired with peach iced tea that I couldn’t have dessert. Bloody worth every penny, enjoying fab food and spending quality time with my brother.

image

Another foodie fave, the dessert buffet in my local town. Just look and appreciate please. My favourite part of the meal is definitely dessert. You can tell why now right?

image

image

And of course, what would be a favourites post without music?! As a musician and music enthusiast, you’ll find me enjoying other artists works’, whether is be mainstream or not that well known. I love all genres (apart from screamo, sorry) so hopefully, I can encourage y’all to listen to some things you may not have come across before. First up, Rae Morris. Her voice. Wow. It has so much clarity and her music makes good use of instruments. My favourite songs from her are Closer, Cold and Do You Even Know?

Rae-Morris

Lastly, I am currently diggin’ King Krule – thank you so much to my homedawg Rajni for recommending! He is incredible. His voice has a different tone and he incorporates a lot of guitar playing into his work. His songs tend to make me feel very reminiscent about life and help me think about life as a whole. I love songs which can enable me to feel in my zone/element and help with my everlasting thinking process like his. My favourite songs so far from him are The Noose of Jah City, Foreign 2, Baby Blue, A Lizard State, Neptune Estate, Out Getting Ribs, Portrait in Black and Blue and Lead Existence.

KingKrule

So that’s it folks! I hope you try out a few new things that I have and let me know what you think.

Until next time,

A Day Out in Central London | 22/11/14

Why hello darlings!

Yesterday was a pretty cool day conquering errands and just chilling with my best friend so I thought I’d inspire y’all with new places to visit.

We began our day with a spot of lunch (after picking up my first issue of Vogue at a nearby off licence) at a place I had been dying to try for many months now – Princi. Princi is an Italian restaurant/ pizzeria with its own bakery on Wardour Street. Besides being noisy and busy it was absolutely beautiful and just oozed with class. The pricing was also rather decent to my surprise.

image

image

image

We then also popped into my favourite instrument and music store – Yamaha Music London (previously and notoriously known as Chappell of Bond Street). Somewhat intrigued, we headed to the first floor where the piano showroom was and I’m pretty sure we both stood in awe. A massive room dedicated to grand pianos.. yep, that was sheer Heaven and the picture sums it all.

image

We then popped into Boots and I picked up this Rimmel lip liner in the shade Spice as my beautiful natural Nyx lip liner seemed to have gone on a vacation.

image

The next stop, after H&M where my buddy picked up a few homeware essentials, was Waterstone’s. I picked up a few books and then proceeded to the underground station when my friend spotted the coolest Christmas tree. And to make it cooler, my phone decided to malfunction as I took the shot and so I was left with this intriguing picture.

image

That was pretty much it as I was rushed with further errands. I do hope you guys try out Princi if you ever swing by Central London – there’s so much to explore and do!

Until next time,
