I thought I’d kick start December with a lil sumptin’ sumptin’ – my fave thaaangs throughout the Autumnal month of Nomvember.
First up is Lush: my holy grail skin and hair store. I picked up a few bits and bobs to treat myself this month. First up we have the Sakura bath bomb which is your bog standard bath time necessity. It has a floral smell and has my favourite oil (jasmine). Next we have a bubble bar called Blue Skies And Fluffy White Clouds. This bubble bar is an utter dream! The bubble payoff is an absolute dream – especially when I turned on my jacuzzi jets on. Bloody hell, I could’ve sworn I was reliving my childhood bath time memories. Talking of jacuzzi, can I just say that I highly recommend jacuzzi bathtubs. The jets help relieve muscle aches and pains and soothes the back wonderfully (you’re welcome).
Next up, we have my favourite bath bomb as of yet – Shoot For The Stars. If you love night time, the night sky, the moon and the stars as much as I do you’re gonna love this one. It practically recreates the night sky in your own bathtub as the water turns deep blue and minute, fine silver sparkly glitter appears to recreate the stars. The glitter also is easy to take off the skin which was a relief.
I also managed to grab my hands on one of my all time favourite soaps. India sells this brand much more cheaper than in the UK so I always ensure I grab a heck of a lot of it when I’m over there. Nonetheless they are ready to purchase online @ Yardley London. They do a variety of soaps, creams, shower gels, talcum powder and more. The reason why I love this brand is because of how long lasting their scents are. The scent in their soaps actually linger on your skin for the whole day and it just feels and smells so gorgeous and makes my skin super soft!
Next, I picked up Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Spice which a gorgeous staple nude pink lipliner that every gal needs! I’d say it’s a good daily makeup necessity.
My mother kindly brought back these goodies from a carboot sale. We tends to go together but this time I couldn’t go. We always end up finding vintage goods – especially vintage ornate mirrors as seen below. I can’t tell you how stoked I am over it, and would you look at that gorgeous statement necklace?! I bought my cacti from Ikea too (named Penelope, Beatrice and Gertrude ;]) to add some earthiness into my room as I love plants and gardening.
Next up, the notorious Parisian style fluffy heels that are in trend right now. These bad boys are from Missguided. I’ve always been self conscious of my feet as they weren’t really born perfect (my little toes don’t touch the floor etc etc.. I’m going to undergo corrective surgery in the future as my feet can hurt in some shoes) and so I never buy open toe shoes or sandals. However the fluffiness of these shoes hid my toes so well I couldn’t resist. And so far, they’re looking bloody fantastic and aren’t too bad to walk in!
And wahey! We have the first pictures of myself on my blog. Another favourite is Kate Moss’ Lipstick in Shade 01 which is your perfect red lipstick. Darker lipsticks tend to make teeth look whiter which is always a bonus. (Midi ring is from Shop Dixi and necklace is a vintage jem I stole from my mama, originally from M&S)
Now I got some food faves. WAGAMAMAS. oh. my. gosh. This Japanese delicacy was amazing. I am currently pescetarian and so I had the vegetarian version of the Chicken Katsu Curry. It was so filling and refreshing being paired with peach iced tea that I couldn’t have dessert. Bloody worth every penny, enjoying fab food and spending quality time with my brother.
Another foodie fave, the dessert buffet in my local town. Just look and appreciate please. My favourite part of the meal is definitely dessert. You can tell why now right?
And of course, what would be a favourites post without music?! As a musician and music enthusiast, you’ll find me enjoying other artists works’, whether is be mainstream or not that well known. I love all genres (apart from screamo, sorry) so hopefully, I can encourage y’all to listen to some things you may not have come across before. First up, Rae Morris. Her voice. Wow. It has so much clarity and her music makes good use of instruments. My favourite songs from her are Closer, Cold and Do You Even Know?
Lastly, I am currently diggin’ King Krule – thank you so much to my homedawg Rajni for recommending! He is incredible. His voice has a different tone and he incorporates a lot of guitar playing into his work. His songs tend to make me feel very reminiscent about life and help me think about life as a whole. I love songs which can enable me to feel in my zone/element and help with my everlasting thinking process like his. My favourite songs so far from him are The Noose of Jah City, Foreign 2, Baby Blue, A Lizard State, Neptune Estate, Out Getting Ribs, Portrait in Black and Blue and Lead Existence.
So that’s it folks! I hope you try out a few new things that I have and let me know what you think.
Until next time,
